Casting size: Casting sizes from 1 ounce to 30 pounds can be produced in our foundry. Our largest tilt pour casting machine can handle molds up to
40" x 42". Nonetheless, our engineering staff recently met a valued customer's production challenge by creating a 36" X 51" mold.
Many complex parts can be created by the use of sliding mold sections and collapsible cores. Hydraulic cylinders actuate the slides. If the casting cannot be made with sliding mold sections due to undercuts, we can use sand shell cores to create geometry.

We can cast-in inserts of many materials. Steel, brass, and stainless steel are the most common materials used.
Successful parts start with successful design. We are prepared to discuss casting design issues with our customers in the early design stages of a part. This allows us to arrive at a part that is suitable for permanent mold and meets your needs. We utilize Mastercam CAD/CAM software and can import IGES, DXF, and STL files. This efficient exchange of data allows us to deliver your castings faster. If you do not have a CAD file, we can create the file from your prints. Once the file is received, and the mold design is finalized, programming of the CNC machine begins. With Mastercam we can program the machine to cut complex surfaces and contours with ease.
We have well-established business relationships with local pattern makers to create your molds. If you require a design change to your casting, or repairs to the mold, we have the capability to modify your mold in-house. This allows us to have closer control over the mold quality and to provide faster service.
Trega offer a full range of machining operations. We offer CNC milling with our Fadals ( VMC-15XT and VMC-6030 ), Mori-Seiki NH4000 HMC, and Mori-Seiki SL-20 CNC turning lathe. We can take your part from raw casting to fully machined part in-house with minimal cost to you. We can make arrangements to powder coat, anodize, and heat treat your castings.
