Design and Engineering
Trega offers advanced technology, design, and engineering services for aluminum castings. Useful parts start with accurate and elegant design. During the early stages of the design process, Trega's design and engineering staff is prepared to discuss any casting related design issues, allowing you to arrive at a part that is suitable for a permanent mold casting, while meeting your company's requirements. By involving customers in the design process from the very beginning of each project, the skilled staff at Trega Corporation has helped their customers to consistently achieve superior finished parts.
We utilize Mastercam CAD/CAM software and can import IGES, DXF, and STL files. This efficient exchange of data ensures accuracy and allows us to develop your aluminum castings in the shortest amount of time. If you do not have a CAD file, we can create the file from your prints. Once the file is received, and the mold design is finalized, programming of the CNC machine begins. With Mastercam, we can program the machine to cut complex surfaces and contours with ease.
Tooling
Trega Corporation machines its own molds using CNC equipment and has long-standing working relationships with pattern and mold makers. If you require a design change to your casting, we can modify your mold, in-house, allowing us complete control over the mold quality, resulting in faster fulfillment.
Trega offers a full range of machining operations such as CNC milling with our Fadals (VMC-15XT and 6030), Mori-Seiki NH400 horizontal machining center and CNC turning with our Mori-Seiki SL-20 lathe. Since all work is done on-site, we can take your part from raw casting to fully machined part at a significantly greater savings to your company.
Trega also offers the following services for your aluminum castings: Powder coating, anodizing, and heat treating. Other specialized services for your permanent mold castings can be arranged upon request.
